Specialist care
for tongue tie,
at every age.
The National Tongue Tie Centre was established in 2007 as Ireland's first clinic dedicated entirely to the assessment and treatment of tongue tie. From newborns to adults, our integrated clinical team provides thorough assessment, expert treatment, and the post-procedure rehabilitation that supports lasting functional improvement.
Frenuloplasty is a surgical procedure. As with all procedures, individual outcomes vary and carry associated risks. Our clinical team will discuss these in full at your assessment appointment before any decision is made.

Release Restrictions Β· Retrain Function Β· Relieve Tension
The National Tongue Tie Centre was founded on the understanding that a frenuloplasty on its own is the beginning of treatment, not the entirety of it. Our integrated methodology addresses the restriction, the functional patterns that developed around it, and the whole-body tension the restriction has created over time.
This approach brings together the clinical expertise of a Consultant Paediatrician, a Chartered Physiotherapist, and a Midwife β all IBCLCs β working together in one clinic. We assess thoroughly, prepare you before the procedure, and support you through recovery.
Find your symptom.
Find your answers.
Tongue tie presents differently at every age. Select the symptom that reflects your experience and we will explain what may be happening and how we assess it.
A dedicated team.
A specialist focus.
The National Tongue Tie Centre is led by a Consultant Paediatrician, a Chartered Physiotherapist, and a Midwife β all International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs). Tongue tie assessment and treatment is our sole clinical focus.
