A dedicated specialist tongue tie centre

The National Tongue Tie Centre in Clonmel is a purpose-built specialist clinic - the only clinic in Ireland offering the full range of tongue tie services across all age groups, from newborn frenectomy through to adult frenuloplasty under local anaesthetic. The clinic was established in 2017, building on clinical practice that began in 2007.

The multidisciplinary team includes a Consultant Paediatrician, Chartered Physiotherapists, IBCLCs, specialist nurses, feeding therapists, and a Physician's Assistant - all working together within a single integrated pathway. Patients do not need to co-ordinate between separate providers; the full clinical team is here.
