The National Tongue Tie Centre - Kildare has moved to its own dedicated premises on Main Street, Caragh, Co. Kildare, minutes from Naas - bringing specialist tongue tie assessment closer to families in Dublin and throughout Leinster. Evaluation and assessment appointments are available for infants, children, and adults, with IBCLC feeding support from late July and myofunctional therapy planned for the autumn.

What's available at the Kildare Clinic
The Kildare Clinic offers full evaluation and assessment appointments - functional physiotherapy assessment, feeding assessment, and medical consultation with Dr. Roche. All ages are seen: infants, children, and adults. IBCLC feeding support is available from late July, with myofunctional therapy planned for the autumn.
Treatment takes place in Clonmel
Where a tongue tie release is recommended following evaluation at the Kildare Clinic, treatment is performed at the main clinic in Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. The full surgical and therapy pathway is available there.
Flexible clinic days
Saturday clinics make specialist assessment accessible without taking time off work or school, and midweek clinics are being introduced over the coming months.
Main Street, Caragh
The Kildare Clinic is located in our own dedicated premises on Main Street in Caragh village, about 10 minutes from Naas and easily reached from the M7 and N7. The clinic is run by the same NTTC clinical team as Clonmel, ensuring consistency of assessment and diagnosis regardless of where you attend.
Physiotherapy-led oral functional assessment - tongue mobility, jaw movement, feeding mechanics, and fascial restriction patterns.
IBCLC-led feeding evaluation for breastfed and bottle-fed infants. Latching, transfer, maternal symptoms, and growth reviewed.
Consultant Paediatrician consultation with Dr. Justin Roche. Diagnosis, clinical decision-making, and treatment planning for all ages.
Infants from birth, children up to 16 years, and adults. No referral needed - self-referral accepted. Concerns Call available first.
How the Kildare clinic pathway works
The Kildare Clinic follows the same clinical pathway as Clonmel. The key difference is that assessment and diagnosis happen at the Kildare Clinic, and where treatment is indicated, this is scheduled in Clonmel. Most families find this straightforward - a clear plan is in place before you leave your assessment appointment.

Free · No obligationFunctional physiotherapy assessment, feeding assessment where relevant, and medical consultation with Dr. Roche. A full clinical picture is established. You receive a clear diagnosis and, where appropriate, a recommended treatment plan. €450.
Kildare Clinic · CaraghWhere treatment is recommended, pre-operative preparation begins. This includes physiotherapy bodywork, feeding therapy, and myofunctional exercises before the surgical appointment. Some preparation sessions can be delivered remotely for Teenagers and Adults.
ClonmelCO₂ laser frenectomy (infants 0–12 weeks) or frenuloplasty (older infants, children, and adults) at the main NTTC clinic in Clonmel. The full surgical team and theatre environment are available there.
Clonmel · Main clinicPost-operative review, wound assessment, Diamond Care protocol support, feeding review, and functional rehabilitation. Outcome is reviewed and further therapy planned as needed.
