What happens, day by day.

Wednesday

Frenuloplasty with Dr Roche at our Tipperary clinic, with sedation provided by Dr Roche and monitoring and care supported by our specialist nursing team.

Accommodation is not included. You arrange your own, and can ask our clinical care coordinator whether our residence is free on your dates. Comprehensive families have priority.

Local preparation

Local practitioners prepare your child first, and continue afterwards.

Surgery is only booked once your child has started pre-operative therapy with practitioners you choose, typically for bodywork and for feeding. If there is no pre-operative therapy, we do not proceed to surgery.

What we ask for

  • Reports from your practitioners confirming that your child has been prepared from a bodywork point of view and from a feeding point of view, with a short feeding or movement video
  • Contact between your practitioners and our team, covered by the clinical liaison fee
  • Therapy continuing locally with your practitioners after surgery

Choosing your practitioners

  • NTTC cannot assess or endorse other practitioners. The choice is yours.
  • NTTC relies on the information your practitioners provide. Local care remains the responsibility of you and your practitioners.
  • Look for experience in infant or paediatric feeding, and in bodywork, oral function or myofunctional therapy
  • Ask whether they are willing to share notes and speak with our team

We are responsible for the surgery and the care we deliver in Ireland. How a child feeds and moves in the months afterwards also depends on the therapy that continues locally, so we cannot promise an overall outcome. Local therapy before and after surgery is part of this pathway for that reason.

Cost

What the package includes.

Package priceper child, as described on this page€4,125
Online consultationwith Dr Justin Roche and Kate Roche, paid first, separate from the package€450
Total for one child€4,575

All prices include VAT where applicable. These are typical prices. Care is individualised to your child, so your final package is confirmed after your online consultation. Additional therapy beyond your pathway is charged at our standard session rates, set out on our fees page, and nothing is added without your agreement. An itemised breakdown is sent with your consultation report, together with the terms and cancellation policy for your package. Where a second child is treated, some fees are charged once per family.

Frenuloplasty is a surgical procedure. All procedures carry associated risks. Full information on risks, benefits and individual expectations is provided before any decision to proceed. Outcomes vary between children and no result can be guaranteed.

Is Release right for you?

Often a good fit

  • Local practitioners are ready to start before surgery
  • Feeding or movement concerns that are mostly straightforward, or have been adequately addressed ahead of travel
  • You can manage a short trip with your child

Consider another pathway

  • Little or no therapy available locally (our Comprehensive Care Package prepares your child in Ireland)
  • Complex feeding history or a baby needing close daily support
  • You would prefer more therapy in Ireland (see Foundations or Comprehensive)

Suitability is decided at your online consultation and confirmed at the in-person evaluation.
